Known Dangerous Combinations List

I've compiled a list of dangerous combinations in the name of harm reduction

I'll try to keep a list of combinations of drugs that aren't safe to take in combination. This will be a work in progress & this list will not be exhaustive, so please still research things thoroughly before you ingest them!

If your combination is not in the list, or you would like to ask about a specific combination or discuss potentially dangerous/risky combinations, or even make suggestions for this post, leave a comment!

Known Dangerous Combinations

Important: Just because a specific combination is not listed here, does not necessarily mean it is safe.

I have included combos which have been widely reported in anecdotes as being dangerous from the effects (or deaths) they caused, as well as the combos which are pharmacologically contraindicated.

5-HTP:

• aMT (alphamethyltryptamine)
• ayahuasca/pharmahuasca
• 2C-T-7
• Other MAOIs (e.g. Phenelzine, Selegiline)
• All SSRIs/SNRIs (e.g. Sertraline, Seroxat)
• MDxx (e.g. MDMA, MDA, MDEA)
• Other serotonin releasers (e.g. 6-APB, 5-APB, 5-API, 5-IAI, MDAI)

Alcohol (beer, wine, vodka):

• aMT
• Ayahuasca/Pharmahuasca
• 2C-T-7
• Other MAOIs (e.g. Phenelzine, Selegiline)
• PCP (and analogues)
• Ibogaine
• benzodiapines

Additionally, tyramine-containing alcoholic beverages such as draught beer and wine should not be combined with the following MAOIs:

• aMT
• ayahuasca/pharmahuasca
• 2C-T-7

Amphetamines and other Stimulants (MDPV etc.)

• Ibogaine
• Beta-Blockers

Anticonvulsants (lithium, valproate):

• All tryptamines
• All phenthylamine psychedelics (DOx, 2Cx, TMA-x, 25x-NBOMe)
• LSD/LSA
• Ibogaine

Empathogens / Serotonin Releasers (MDMA, Cathinones, MDA, MDEA, 6-APB, 5-APB, MDAI, Mephedrone, Methylone):

• aMT (alphamethyltryptamine)
• ayahuasca/pharmahuasca
• Other MAOIs (e.g. Phenelzine, Selegiline)
• DXM (dextromethorphan)
• 5-HTP
• 2C-T-7
• Ibogaine
• SSRIs (you just wont get high)

Ibogaine:

• Alcohol
• DXM
• All SSRIs/SNRIs (e.g. Sertraline, Seroxat)
• MDxx (e.g. MDMA, MDA, MDEA)
• Other serotonin releasers (e.g. 6-APB, 5-APB, 5-API, 5-IAI, MDAI)
• All other stimulants (e.g. Amphetamine, Cocaine, MDPV)
• All anticonvulsants (e.g. Lithium, Valproate)
• Antibiotics
• Grapefruit Juice
• Quinine (Tonic water)
• Opiates (Specifically: Codeine, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Tramadol)

MAOIs (phenelzine, tranylcypramine, selegiline)

• All phenthylamine psychedelics (DOx, 2Cx, TMA-x, 25x-NBOMe)
• aMT (alphamethyltryptamine)
• MDxx (e.g. MDMA, MDA, MDEA)

• All cathinones
• DXM (dextromethorphan)
• Ibogaine
