Mirtazapine Revisited - 5 Trip Reports
I'm still very intrigued by mirtazapine, sadly i still haven't had the chance to try the dosage id like.
Fun Fact (anedoctal evidence really) - While Mirtazapine causes cross tolerance with other psychedelics, 60mg of Mirtazapine taken half an hour, before any dose shroom trip potentiates it by double.
Eventually i will make a detailed trial with several dosages and drug combinations, i have a (prescribed) stash of the stuff, but for now its time for more Trip Reports!!
These are all the recreational reports i found on the web, if you know of another one please let me know :)
Here are 5 reports ordered by dosage
I've been prescribed mirtazapine for sleep, and I assume un-mentioned depression, and had the dosage halved recently because I would basically wake up in the morning and pass out uncontrollably. In the past few days I've been smoking a bit of bud, as per what I do every now and again, and dropped the 7.5mg at about 8pm, and 10 minutes after a cone.
Later, I was laying in bed watching a movie, when I was hit by a massive euphoria wave, which made me want to fall asleep. I've been practicing with inducing lucid dreaming for a while, now, and I guess I fell into quite a few physchodelic lucid dreams, because for about 2 hours before I fell asleep, my vision would slowly blur into a screen of patterns and etc; I don't even know what I was seeing, and would jolt myself away with massive surges of euphoria that lasted what seemed like days.
I've heard of other people saying that smoking weed on them will make them trip balls, but this was nothing like I've ever come across. It felt almost like an LSD-type-feeling, but amplified by nitros? Iunno.

Trip Report #1 - I Don't Even Know What I Was Seeing

Other Substances - Cannabis

Tryptamine Review #3 - DPT
Lysergury @ chemsrus had a great idea for a thread trying to explain the subjective difference between different tryptamines, i'm hijacking his idea and posting the relevant info here.
I'm really interested in trying this tryptamine, seems exactly my kind of drug!
Personally I find an insufflated dose of 100 mg to be ideal. The effects last about 3 hours. Vaping works well too, although I find this method to be borderline TOO intense (ie difficult to understand/assimilate the experience). If that's what you're looking for though, light that shit up.
Vaping provides a much shorter, more intense experience. The effects hit you immediately and last about an hour. I'd say 50 mg vaped would be enough to completely blast off. Although I would advise starting small and working your way up, as dosages seem to vary with DPT more so than other substances.

I would advise against taking it orally as this ROA weakens the effects considerably (ie you have to take more). It can also be injected IM but I haven't personally tried that method.

Tryptamine Review #2 - 4-HO-MiPT
4-HO-MiPT
Come up - approx 1 hr, maybe alerts as soon as 10 minutes
Peak - around 2 hours for me consistently. Others have claimed 4-6
Comedown - no noticeable comedown. It's like blinking and then it's gone. Nice afterglow though which can easily last into the next day or so.
Depth - 2/10
I did not have any deep thoughts or realizations from 4-HO-Mipt. I have heard others say this is a mentally trying synth but that was not my experience in reasonable doses. At a ridiculously high dose, I did experience a full blown panic attack so take that for what it's worth. If you want to read about it click Here

Tryptamine Review #1 - 5-Meo-DALT
Lysergury @ chemsrus had a great idea for a thread trying to explain the subjective difference between different tryptamines, i'm hijacking his idea and posting the relevant info here.
5-Meo-DALT
Dosage:
10-30mg Oral.
5-11mg iv.
Insulfated or vaporized/pyrolized is unknown to me.
Depth: 1/10
Depth: 1/10
via the ROAs I've researched, in the dosage range I've researched, 5-meo-dalt is not a deep material. This is not to say it is a bad material- the complete and total lack of any mindfuck or time-dilation whatsoever is actually a wonderful quality for more recreational purposes, if not for spiritual/introspective ones. It is very pro-social, mildly euphoric (iv doses are extremely euphoric), and mildly entactogenic/empathogenic without any kind of overpowering mystical push.

Taming THC: potential cannabis synergy and phytocannabinoid-terpenoid entourage effects
We usually only consider the cannabinoids, but these have very complex reactions with several terpenes, terpenes are responsible for flavor and many other things in cannabis.
They help modulating the synthesis of different cannabinoids inside the plant and can be manipulated to create new strains with the desired cannabinoid ratio (high) and flavor

Taming THC: potential cannabis synergy and phytocannabinoid-terpenoid entourage effects
Ethan B Russo
Abstract
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been the primary focus of cannabis research since 1964, when Raphael Mechoulam isolated and synthesized it. More recently, the synergistic contributions of cannabidiol to cannabis pharmacology and analgesia have been scientifically demonstrated. Other phytocannabinoids, including tetrahydrocannabivarin, cannabigerol and cannabichromene, exert additional effects of therapeutic interest. Innovative conventional plant breeding has yielded cannabis chemotypes expressing high titres of each component for future study. This review will explore another echelon of phytotherapeutic agents, the cannabis terpenoids: limonene, myrcene, α-pinene, linalool, β-caryophyllene, caryophyllene oxide, nerolidol and phytol. Terpenoids share a precursor with phytocannabinoids, and are all flavour and fragrance components common to human diets that have been designated Generally Recognized as Safe by the US Food and Drug Administration and other regulatory agencies. Terpenoids are quite potent, and affect animal and even human behaviour when inhaled from ambient air at serum levels in the single digits ng·mL−1. They display unique therapeutic effects that may contribute meaningfully to the entourage effects of cannabis-based medicinal extracts. Particular focus will be placed on phytocannabinoid-terpenoid interactions that could produce synergy with respect to treatment of pain, inflammation, depression, anxiety, addiction, epilepsy, cancer, fungal and bacterial infections (including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). Scientific evidence is presented for non-cannabinoid plant components as putative antidotes to intoxicating effects of THC that could increase its therapeutic index. Methods for investigating entourage effects in future experiments will be proposed. Phytocannabinoid-terpenoid synergy, if proven, increases the likelihood that an extensive pipeline of new therapeutic products is possible from this venerable plant.

Since i'm not an expert i took the liberty of copying this nice article regarding the above study from someone who is, read on!

While working at the Victoria Cannabis Buyers Club I was able to teach some of the members about Black Pepper. While benefiting from the medicinal effects of THC, these patients suffered from bouts with anxiety while medicating. Most patients who have tried this simply took a few sniffs of the black pepper to receive an almost immediate effect. Others have reported that after chewing on pepper corns they felt relief within an hour, but that may be a delay most would seek to avoid. So how does this work? The Aug. 2011 British Journal of Pharmacology: Cannabinoids in Biology and Medicine, Part 1 includes numerous articles exploring the nature of the cannabis plants’ chemical dynamism. In the article “Taming THC,” scientists report having discovered more than a hundred terpenes that “may contribute meaningfully to the entourage effects of cannabis-based medicinal extracts.” Terpenes create the many scents of cannabis and are shared among the plant kingdom. Scientists explored how these aromatic oils synergize and mitigate the active cannabinoids contributing to an entourage effect.

Psychoactive Honey
Honey is sometimes used to preserve mushrooms, that got me wondering if there is any kind of honey that is psychoactive, perhaps if the bees pollinated psychoactive species? Here is what i found on my quest!

Known Dangerous Combinations List
I've compiled a list of dangerous combinations in the name of harm reduction
I'll try to keep a list of combinations of drugs that aren't safe to take in combination. This will be a work in progress & this list will not be exhaustive, so please still research things thoroughly before you ingest them!
If your combination is not in the list, or you would like to ask about a specific combination or discuss potentially dangerous/risky combinations, or even make suggestions for this post, leave a comment!
It would also be wise to check out the Medication & Supplement Interaction Thread @ bluelight for further information on medication reactions beyond simply stating whether a combination is dangerous or not.
If you see anything wrong in this list or something that needs to be added, please either post a comment or send an e-mail

Aniracetam Fueled Shroom Experience
The whole family of Racetams potentiate psychedelics, and most drugs for that matter, to ilustrate this effect i decided to share this trip report i found @ bluelight
"I have been experimenting with -racetams lately and have also been stacking it with CDP-Choline. My most recent one is aniracetam which seemed to be providing the focus without the jitters that Noopept and Phenylpiracetam give me. I also am extremely experienced with psilocybin mushrooms and have eaten out of this very batch with friends a few times, strong, euphoric, very high quality. I've never combined the two.
It was a nice Saturday and I was planning to hang out with some friends at a local arcade that just opened. I have a 250mg dose of CDP-Choline and ~750mg aniracetam at about 4:00. Then, at about 7, I have another 750mg dose of aniracetam. Friends arrive, we go check out the arcade, walk home in the rain, get back to my place where we're drinking whiskey and smoking cannabis, playing a board game. After we're hanging out for a while, I remember this new batch of shrooms I bought and wanted to give some to my friends to take with them (or eat now if they want). I decide what the hell, I'll just eat a cap while we're kickin' it, this is nothing abnormal for me and my friends. The time is about 12 or 1am.

BitTorrent unveils NSA-proof online calling and messaging software
BitTorrent Inc., the San Francisco company behind the most popular technology for sharing files online, is branching out into a new arena: snoop-proof calling and texting.
The company announced the availability Wednesday of a preliminary, test version of BitTorrent Bleep software, which will enable people to make calls (voice only) and send messages over the Internet without using a central server to direct traffic. Instead, users will find one another through groups of other users, with no records of the calls or texts stored anywhere along the way.
Once a connection is made for a call or text, the communication travels directly between the two computers involved. That peer-to-peer approach also defies mass surveillance. Granted, it doesn't pay to underestimate the National Security Agency's ability to monitor even well-hidden communications. But Bleep certainly makes the job harder than the most popular online calling and messaging apps do.
