There's so much power in the hands of a select few and they know so much about us and our habits that rebellion and freedom in general can become illusory at some point.
Fortunately there are always some great minds creating counter-measures and even anticipating problems. This series of posts will let you know about some projects that will make a good addition to our collective arsenal against mass-surveillance and freedom-abolitionism.
The OFF Pocket is a privacy accessory for mobile phones. It instantly blocks all wireless signals from reaching your phone, shielding you from unwanted tracking or eavesdropping.
OFF Pocket was originally launched trough kickstarter, but you can make your own.
Your Phone is never really off, does the clock reset when you turn it off? Does the alarm still ring? These are just 2 of the indications there's electricity going trough your phone, and as such it can be tracked and even remotely turned on!
Nowadays in some of the more modern phones you can't even take the battery out of them, that's where this project becomes important.
This works on the principle of a faraday cage around your phone, it's based on physics so it is certainly effective.
