Proving a vendor's reliability

Is there a way that we could come up with a reliable way to check on the validity of vendors?

I compiled a list with a few pointers in that direction

If some of the things in this list happen it doesn't necessarily mean the vendor is a scammer, but why risk it? There are lots of alternatives, if you screw up your health you may not be able to ever try another RC, even if something is cheaper is the price difference worth the risk?

Safe or Scam -A Guide to Buying Research Chemicals

Buying Illegal Drugs of the internet is dangerous, so you find yourself buying research chemicals from some random dude

There have been cases of people getting the wrong chemical, and in some cases overdosing because of that and dying. In the best case scenario you may not get your order at all and lose your money.

So it's really important that you trust your vendor, but how do you gain the trust of some website without trying it first?

Pedicularis densiflora - Trip Report

It's been a while since i made a post about some obscure plant, this post is about Indian Warrior, judging by the name is should be interesting

About

Pedicularis densiflora, , known commonly as Indian warrior, is a perennial herb with stout, green or sometimes reddish or magenta stems and fern-shaped leaves, and long spikes of deep red to bright pink flowers with toothed petals.

Traditional Use

All of the Pedicularis' are tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, powerful aphrodisiacs, and sedatives. They are often employed medicinally for muscle pain and tension, particularly back pain. Pedicularis are also used for their psychological effects, good for anger, fear, pain, anxiety. At least one Native American tribe is known to smoke the flowers of certain Pedicularis species for their medicinal effects and narcotic effects. These plants are a welcome addition to any smoking mixture both as flavor and a narcotic. Elephant's Head is claimed to have the best flavor but is the mildest, but every Pedicularishas an excellent taste. P. Densiflora being the most potent species.

The buds and flowers are often added to tea blends for their color, flavor, and relaxing properties. It is also found to be useful in the treatment of insomnia, as well as having antioxidant properties

Seems a cool plant for using in herbal medicine.... What about smoking it? Seems like it could give a cannabis-like High. But there's no need to wonder, there are trip reports!

Cannabinoids - More than THC

THC is the most well known cannabinoid, but if you have tried marinol (pharmaceutical THC) you can see that the high is different from cannabis.

This is because Cannabis contains many other cannabinoids, most aren't psychoactive but have many medicinal proprieties, the concentration of these different cannabinoids and their synergy makes the high of each cannabis strain unique.

This Infographic will give you a little idea of some natural cannabinoids and their effects

Cops Like Me Say Legalize All Drugs. Here’s Why.

Who exactly is prohibition supposed to be helping? After many years of enforcing drug laws as a police officer, my experience with an addicted family member changed my attitude for good.

I was a police officer for 20 years, enforcing drug laws in California and thinking I was doing my part for society. But what made me think properly about drug use for the first time was my experience with my older brother, Billy. I had watched him struggle with a lifelong problem with drugs. But I still did not understand what it meant to be Billy until my husband convinced me to open up my heart and our home to save him in 2002.

It was in this intimacy of watching Billy try, during the year he lived with us, to live up to the expectations of society and those he loved that I realized that our society’s portrayal of people with chronic drug problems was both damaging and morally flawed.

PayPub - The Bitcoin Black Market for Leaked Data

We're starting a third economy: there's the white market, the black market and the Bitcoin market, which contains both

Two free-information-focused developers have released a piece of open-source software designed to let anyone get paid in bitcoin for leaking secret information either to the public or to a private buyer. The program, which they call PayPub, is still just an early prototype. But its creators say it has all the features necessary to facilitate a new model of anonymous, for-profit online leaking or even to help spark a decentralized black market in secret information.

Whistleblowers like Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden exposed classified information because they believed their leaks were in the public interest. The next secret-spiller might be motivated instead by something less magnanimous: money.

Aniracetam

It's been a while since i introduced you to a nootropic, this one wouldn't be my first choice, but it's great for cycling with Piracetam or Noopept!

About: Aniracetam is a racetamic and Ampakine drug that is slightly higher in potency than Piracetam. It was developed in the 1970’s by chemist, Hoffmann La-Roche and can be synthesized by reacting GABA or 2-Pyrrolidone with Anisoyl choloride. Aniracetam is fat soluble and its half-life is considerably shorter than the other racetams. The substance was used as parent compound to help create the new nootropic Ampakine drug class.
Recommended Dosage: 1-2 g
Administration Route: Aniracetam is fat soluble, so you should take it with food

N-acetylcysteine - Nootropic, medicine, psychiatric tool

For a while I've been wanting to write about N-acetylcysteine, but i found the perfect post about it over at DMT-Nexus, so i will literally just copy paste, forgive my laziness but i couldn't improve this post at all!

Adventures in Neuroscience - Episode 1 - NAC

By: The Cosmic Lion

If you don't care about the science or my explanation, skip straight to the Conclusions section at the end for the concise summary and dosage recommendation!

NAC, or N-acetylcysteine, can be found over the coutner at most GNC's and many health food stores. GNC sells the 600mg pills, fairly weak, it is ideal to seek the 1,000mg pills due to the high recommended dosages.

NAC is all at once a nooptropic (smart drug), a physical medicine, and a serious psychiatric tool

NAC is an acetylized version of the natural amino-acid cysteine that is a precursor to Glutamate, which effects the Glutamate system, which is responsible for learning, memory, motivation and cognition. It has a TON of medical application already. Additionally, recent studies show psychiatric effects on the glutmate, dopamine and NMDA brain systems.

Bear with me here, this post is long but filled with goodies. I present you here with MY summary, Wiki + WedMD info, then at the end the NEW info regarding its new use in psychiatry (Including a CUSTOM dose recommendation!). I will also explain the relevance of each quote after its posted. Stay tuned.

RIP Shulgin

Alexander ‘Sasha’ Shulgin died yesterday, at the age of 88.

A Tweet from the Erowid Center stated that “Yes, Sasha died peacefully this afternoon (June 2), surrounded by friends and family.”

Shulgin is famous for publishing the books Pihkal and Tihkal and for synthesizing over 230 psychedelic compounds that he dutifully tested with his wife as well as for introducing MDMA to the therapeutical world, before it was made illegal.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a respected elder of the psychedelic community, he shall not be forgotten

The Copyright for Part 1 of PiHKAL and TiHKAL has been reserved in all forms and it may not be distributed. Part 2 may be distributed for non-commercial reproduction. You can read both the second part of Tikhal and Pikhal online at erowid, his legacy shall inspire many, like it greatly inspired me.

Rest in Peace Mr. Shulgin

How Addiction Works, and What You Can Do About It

For many of us, topics like addiction and substance abuse seem far removed, like they affect other people and don't (or will never) concern us—the same way depression, anxiety, or other issues can seem remote to those who don't experience them. But the truth is, addiction is an insidious disease that can creep up on you or very possibly already be hurting someone you know or love, maybe even without you having a clue.

In the US alone, over 23 million people, ages 12 and up, needed treatment for illicit drugs (including prescription drugs) or alcohol abuse in 2009, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. That's nearly one in ten people in the US, and it doesn't include the millions of teens and adults with hidden addiction problems or people with other addictions such as smoking. With one in four deaths in the US attributable to alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drug use, addiction is one of the most devastating—yet treatable—diseases.

Sadly, statistics like these and PSAs often do little to get people help. Words like "addiction," "substance abuse," and "disease" carry such a stigma that w.e don't usually see the problem, much less admit it or discuss it head on. But maybe your best friend, your sister, your son, your co-worker, or you yourself need(s) help. We need to talk about it frankly—and without shame.

This post will talk about:
  • What Addiction Is
  • How Addiction Changes the Brain
  • The Psychological and Social Sides of Addiction
  • How to Get Help
