Depth -3/10.
Very little depth here, to be honest. None of the spiritual/philosophical insights that can be gained from shrooms. There is a definite change in consciousness and a bit of psychedelic confusion, but it’s mostly just a visual trip.
OEVs are a cross between the organic/breathing/melting visuals of shrooms, and the synthetic, detailed patterning of LSD. Crazy strong visual acuity (you’ll be able to see tiny details in objects hundreds of yards away) and lots of visual drifting and melting of objects. Enhancement of colors and pattern recognition (especially faces in trees, clouds, etc.). Symmetrical texture repetition and visual tracers were also noticed.
Body high - 5/10.
Warm, floaty feeling. Very sedating and relaxing. Feels like I could even doze off mid trip. Some numbness (especially in the face). I also get that crawly, tingly sensation commonly reported with shrooms.
Recreational Value - 8/10.
It’s definitely fun, although not especially social. When I trip with others, we usually end up sitting in silence for most of the time enjoying the visuals. Every once in a while someone will make a comment that will generally lead to a lot of giggling. Then back to a comfortable silence.
Side effects - 9/10.
Mild headache on the comedown of my first trip. Subsequent trips have been virtually side-effect free for me, though. One of my buddies got a bit nauseous on the come-up (less so than with shrooms, however, which caused him to puke).
Overall Opinion
an easygoing, friendly substance which will provide a fun, visual trip. Great choice for introducing someone to the psychedelic experience. If you want a deeper, more spiritual journey, however, look elsewhere.
