Introduction to Psychonautics

To inaugurate a new categorie, Psychonautics, i created a pool so YOU can choose what compound you want a post about.

With so many Research Chemicals easily available, and many of them being sold as LSD, it's really important that you are informed, i will be making several posts regarding all kind of compounds. My priorities will be the newer less known compounds, if you wanted info about well known ones you wouldn´t be on this blog would you?

But what the hell are Psychonautics?

Psychonautics - from the Greek ψυχή (psychē "soul/spirit/mind") and ναύτης (naútēs "sailor/navigator") –- a sailor of the mind/soul) refers both to a methodology for describing and explaining the subjective effects of altered states of consciousness (including those induced by meditation or mind altering substances) and to a research paradigm in which the researcher voluntarily immerses him/herself into an altered state as a means to explore human experience and existence.

The term has been applied diversely in order to cover all activities by which altered states are induced and utilized for spiritual purposes or the exploration of consciousness, including shamanism, meditation, lamas of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and archaic/modern drug users who use hallucinogenic substances in order to gain deeper insights and spiritual experiences.

A person who uses altered states for such exploration is known as a psychonaut.

Be sure to check the Psychonaut Wiki!

Don't forget to vote! An informed substance user is always safer!
