The warp drive: hyper-fast travel within general relativity

Do you like Star Trek? I love Star Trek! And we all agree that the Warp Drive would be an excellent addiction to everyday technology, the good news are that theoretically we can make one! The Bad news are that it won't happen in my lifetime...

The Warp Drive achieves faster-than-light speeds by not actually travelling faster than light, what happens is that space-time contracts in front of the warp drive and expands in the back, warping spacetime itself in order to achieve Faster-Than-Light Travelling

What happens to matter when using the Warp Drive? Read The Alcubierre Warp Drive: On the Matter of Matter to find out!
